James A. Clark in Memoriam

IMTEC Corporation
With Fondest Memories, James A Clark 1941-2023

Attorney – Author – CEO

James Alan Clark passed from this life on March 19th leaving a large void and a lasting legacy. Mr. Clark was well-known and respected in every aspect of his life. He held many titles during his nearly 82 years – son, brother, athlete, husband, father, uncle, coach, grandfather, counselor, District Attorney, mentor, CEO, advocate, author, and friend – and he would gladly share his experiences, opinions, or memories with anyone who cared to listen.

Mr. Clark always knew he wanted to help others as an attorney and turned down a professional contract with the Baltimore Orioles after high school to pursue that dream. Despite growing up during difficult times, he found his way to college with an athletic scholarship where he was a division 1 athlete playing both basketball & baseball. He went on to achieve his dream of becoming an attorney, and after graduation, moved to Ardmore, OK where he spent the last 6 + decades of his life practicing law, serving as District Attorney, and then as CEO and legal counsel for IMTEC Corporation.

Under Mr. Clark’s leadership, IMTEC Corporation grew into a multi-national company with nearly 300 employees. He never missed an opportunity to promote the company, its products, or its people, and would frequently take to his typewriter or computer keyboard to spread the word. It was his goal to grow not only the company but also its employees and he did his best to make higher education available to all as well as freely offering both personal and professional advice. Of his tenure at the helm of IMTEC Corporation, Mr. Clark has written, “How I miss working there, life was never the same for me when I retired as CEO and Director.”

He was a prolific writer, so we can take comfort in reading his books and published short stories or watching his brief appearance on the silver screen as a G-man in Dillinger - the only Ardmoreite with a speaking role out of 97 that were cast to help with the production.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
